Desert Sky Mothers of Multiples Club

Location: First United Methodist Church of Gilbert, 331 South Cooper Road, Gilbert, AZ

1. Set-up: Club members may sell anything they wish. Set up your own items on Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If your merchandise arrives afer 5:00 p.m. , it will be set up as time permits. All members selling merchandise must check-in with Garage Sale Coordinator prior to setting up their merchandise and to receive credit for working. You will not be able to sell merchandise that is not properly tagged. The club will provide racks for clothing, but we do not have hangers, so please try to bring your own. If you would like to have your hangers back after the sale, please label hangers with your name (tape or address labels work best). Please separate the clothing you wish to sell by size and place it on the appropriate rack or table. Please bring a table if you have one and label it with your name.

2. Loading Zone: A Loading Zone will be set up in order to help moms with small children (or without childcare). Those working a shift will unload your vehicle. They will hang your items inside the sale. Children will not be allowed in the shopping area on Friday. This includes during set up hours.

3. Garage Sale Hours: The sale is open to DSMOM SELLERS AND WORKERS on Friday from 5 - 6 pm and CLUB MEMBERS ONLY (one member per family) from 6-7 p.m. on Friday night and The public can shop 7 - 9 pm. ABSOLUTELY NO PRE-SHOPPING PRIOR TO 5 p.m.!!! Members must check-in and receive their club badge. Only one member per family will be allowed entrance and they must be wearing the club badge. Members and guests may shop from 6-9 p.m. on Friday AFTER THEY HAVE SIGNED IN AND RECEIVED A NAME TAG. The sale will be advertised and open to the public from 7 - 9 pm on Friday night and 6:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday. ALL SELLERS must return before noon to pick up their items or to help fold, separate and organize their items into donation boxes. Any items not picked by 1 p.m. will be donated to charity. NO EXCEPTIONS! Due to safety issues, ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN ON FRIDAY NIGHT!!!!!

4. What to bring: Wear your club T-shirt Friday night and check-in to receive your badge. ALL MEMBERS are asked to bring a six pack of water or a six pack of juice, soda, etc. for the workers on Saturday. Please bring these items to the general meeting prior to the garage sale.

5. Payment Methods: Only DSMOM members may pay by check. All others must pay with cash.

6. Proceeds: A percentage of all sales goes to the club. If you work a six-hour shift, you will receive 90% of your sales. If you work a three-hour shift, you receive 70% of your sales. If you do not work a shift, you will receive 50% of your sales. All sellers will be paid by check by the next general meeting. If you wish to have your check before the next General Meeting, please give the Treasurer a self-addressed, stamped envelope before the close of the garage sale on Saturday.

7. Friends Participating in the Garage Sale: Please contact the garage sale coordinators if you are interested in having a friend sell with you. You may ask one friend to bring her properly marked items for sale. The friend must work your shift with you. Your friend will be expected to follow all the rules and will receive the same percentage of her sales as you do.

8. Price Tags: Price tags are plain, white or colored 3 x 5 index cards cut in half vertically (No Paper) & pinned to the clothing with stick pins. Please - No Staples & No Tape On Clothing - Do Not Pin Price Tags With Safety Pins. You may use tape on toys & furniture. Clothing sets (i.e. shorts and matching top), should be marked as a set and pinned together. Name and Price must be in the corners as shown, the other items are more flexible on the tag.
