Club Rules

  1. Membership Definition
    A member is entitled to attend all meetings (general and board), all social functions, conventions and club functions. She is also entitled to vote, receive the monthly newsletter, receive the quarterly NOMOTC Notebook and to use the club library.
  2. The president has the authority to give an honorary yearly membership to a mother of multiples under appropriate circumstances. This decision will involve only the member, the President and the Treasurer.
  3. A portion of all major fund raising projects will be donated to charity.
  4. All major voting shall be done by secret ballot.
  5. All children's parties will include all of the children in the family, not just the multiples.
  6. Club members who receive money to go to conventions, meetings and discounts off of club dinners shall be active working members.
  7. Guidelines for Active Working Member Status:
    • Serves on a committee or helps organize a single social event each year.
    • Helps supply a refreshment to either a general meeting, a board meeting or a children's party. Also helps set up, serve and clean up at the event.
    • Attends at least nine of the twelve general meetings.
    • Participates in at least one major fund raising project.
  8. "Member of the Year Award" Guidelines:
    • Is an active working member for the given year (excluding the President, the Executive Board and the previous year winner).
    • Participates in club activities, general meetings and board meetings.
    • Can consider past contributions to club along with current contributions.
    • Can be a new member who is very active.
    • A list of those eligible for vote will be presented and voted upon by secret ballot at the April general meeting, by the general membership.
    • The award will be one year of free dues.
  9. Installation
    Shall be supervised by the Presidential Advisor. Installation may be held at either a member's home, a restaurant, or any other location voted on by the Executive Board at the April board meeting. The President has the authority to arrange for the club to pay for an officer's installation dinner under appropriate circumstances. This will involve only the officer, the Treasurer and the President.
    All new officers who are expected to participate must be briefed on installation procedures and must be present at the Installation Ceremony, unless otherwise stated in advance by the officer being installed.
  10. Procedure manuals will be revised every three years after the Bylaws are reviewed or revised by a committee appointed by the President.
